Welcome to Art Where We Are, an exhibition celebrating a decade of public art that has radically transformed our local landscape. For the past ten years, the Antelope Valley Walls initiative (formerly POW!WOW! Antelope Valley) has brought world-class muralists to our streets, turning blank brick and stucco into vibrant storytelling canvases.
But what happens when an artist steps away from the scale of a multi-story building?
This exhibition brings 30 of those iconic muralists indoors, shifting the focus from the massive public wall to the intimate studio space. Here, you will see the studio practices, personal concepts, and diverse mediums ranging from canvas to sculpture that fuel these creators when they aren't working on a crane or a scaffold.

On view within the exhibition is Anthony Hurd: Gentle Nature, a solo project that engages with themes of nostalgia, love, and authenticity, set against a backdrop of vibrant color and the natural world. Together, the two exhibitions create a conversation between public image-making and studio-based reflections.
